James Naughton nears the one mile mark. He started this race quickly.

The race leaders go up hill #2. From left to right, Chris Toloff (Novi), Paul Niedzwiecki (Adrian), Tim Moore (Novi). At the state meet, they placed #7, #9 and #3, respectively. Not bad!

Matt Johnson goes up hill #2 on the new path. You can see James' face just to the left of Matt. James looks to be in trouble. But he somehow managed to pass Matt in the next quarter mile.

Alan Antonuk was the top finisher for Pioneer in the JV race. Alan looked extremely strong and focused throughout the race. A great finish to an excellent season.
