Highlights

Pioneer's varsity team placed 6th out of 19 teams at the Holly Invitational. The top finisher was Matt Johnson, who finished 13th overall.

The team showed strong improvement from the first meet. The first 5 Pioneer runners finished in 18:00 or less. This is particularly impressive considering that the top runner from the previous week (James Naughton) was unable to run. Joe Anderson, Andy Harvey, Loren Kimeldorf and Alan Antonuk all established personal records.

The junior varsity team also showed substantial improvement from the first race. The top finisher was Nick Piotrowski. Nick finished 4th overall (18:16), a new personal record. Tom Giltrow also had a noteworthy performance. The freshman ran 19:51, an impressive 1:22 reduction from his previous best. Besides Nick and Tom, these runners ran new PR's: Jon Moler, Tom Bagwell, Bill Weber, Josh Salvner, Nick Wilkenson, and Mike VanWambeke.
