Dual Meet, Adrian at Pioneer, October 21, 1999

Highlights

Pioneer raced to an easy 20-36 victory over Adrian. First place was taken by Adrian's Paul Niedzewiecki, one of the top runners in the state, in a time of 16:24. Pioneer runners then took 2nd through 6th places. Once again, for the 6th consecutive meet, the top Pioneer runner was Matt Johnson. Nick Piotrowski ran very well as the 5th Pioneer runner.

It was a windy day on the Pioneer course and this seemed to slow most runners. Only two runners, Mike Roth and Andy Schaich, were able to make new PR's.

Several runners were able to return from injuries. Captain Loren Kimeldorf, despite still feeling pain, was able to complete the course. Although Loren wasn't happy with his time, he showed courage and determination on the course. Freshman Alex Inwood was able to run his first race of the season. Alex ran a solid 20:52. Matt Macvey was also able to run for the first time in several weeks.
